  • Great Outdoors Adventures: provides Jeep, UTV, and Slingshot rentals.
  • Gold Hill Dine-in Theater: small town movie theater that shows new releases with various food options.
  • Meadow Wood Sports Complex: offers tennis, pickleball, ice rink (in the winter months), baseball and soccer fields, hiking trails, and a dog park.
  • Memorial Park: located in the heart of our beautiful town, Memorial Park offers a scenic view of Pikes Peak with gentle walking trails, covered gazebos with picnic tables, basketball court, and playground.
  • Rampart Reservoir: located 4 miles outside of Woodland Park, Rampart Reservoir offers hiking, fishing, and picnicking.
  • Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center: a fossil museum primarily exhibiting fossils from North America’s Late Cretaceous era.  The museum includes a fossil preparation lab and large gift shop with live tours from experienced guides.
  • Shining Mountain Golf Course: offer 18 hole golf course and 3 disc golf courses.
  • Woodland Park Aquatic Center: includes a leisure pool, lap pool, lazy river, and a water slide.

  • Cave of the Winds: An Ideal Family Tour! Explore the electrically lit portion of Cave of the Winds on a 45 – 60 minute guided walking tour which includes 15 rooms, a 1/2 mile of concrete walkways, and 196 stairs. On this family-friendly tour, you will learn about the history and geology of the cave and see some of the most beautiful formations.  They also have: Wind Walker Challenge Course, Bat-A-Pult, Cliffhanger Climbing Wall, and Geronimo’s Leap.
  • Manitou Cliff Dwellings: Explore the fascinating architecture of the ancient cliff dwellers and browse through two museums featuring cultural displays all overlooking the historic town of Manitou Springs.
  • North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop: it’s always Christmas at this charming amusement park which opened back in 1956.  Santa’s Workshop offers everything from amusement park rides to magic shows, arcade games to toy shops.  You can even visit Mr. and Mrs. Clause.  The park is typically open from the middle of May until Christmas Eve, and does require reservations on peak days, so please confer with their website for planning your visit.
  • Pikes Peak: the highest summit in the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.  Drive the adrenaline pumping Pikes Peak Highway or choose to ascend via the Manitou Springs Cog Railway, but either way, you are guaranteed breathtaking views atop the 14,115ft summit.  Do give consideration to the extreme altitude if traveling from lower elevations and plan to pack plenty of warm clothes (even in Summer) and water.

  • Butte Theater: The Butte Theater is a historic theater located in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Home to live professional theater and community theater.
  • Cripple Creek and Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad: lovingly restored steam locomotives and the historic 1894 station house has been taking passengers on a journey back into gold rush history since 1967.  Trains depart daily from mid-May through mid-October on a 4 mile round-trip tour with points of interest and photo opportunities.
  • Rita the Rock Planter: everyone wants to visit a giant 21 foot sculpture crafted entirely of recycled wood.  Don’t miss this short hike and amazing find inspired by Cripple Creek and Victor’s historic mining landscape.
  • Town of Cripple Creek: the high mountain town of Cripple Creek is itself an attraction boasting a rich and varied history spanning 150 years from boomtown to ghost town to gambling town.  It has experienced triumphs and devastations and remains a unique place to visit.  There you will find numerous museums and casinos in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape.

  • Cheyenne Mountain Zoo: Named The 4th Best Zoo In The Nation. Explore Newly Renovated And Award-winning Exhibits. Spend an Adventurous Day Getting Up-Close and personal with rare and endangered species.
  • Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum: preserves the history and culture of the Pikes Peak region, and features permanent exhibits on the history of the area and changing exhibits. 
  • Garden of the Gods: home to a plethora of geological and ecological rarities that make the park a prime site for nature lovers. Drive or hike through the beautiful park.
  • Glen Eyrie Castle: Glen Eyrie Castle is a 67-room English Tudor-style castle built by General William Jackson Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. This house was his dream home and is in the northwest foothills north of the Garden of the Gods Park.
  • Helen Hunt Falls: Visitors can enjoy the view from the base of the falls or take a short walk to the top and admire the view from the bridge across the falls.
  • National Museum of World War II Aviation: is the only museum in the world to focus exclusively on the unique story of the role of aviation in World War II. See how pilots and their support personnel changed the course of world history.
  • Seven Falls: is a magnificent series of waterfalls located in a 1,250-foot-walled box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules.
  • Space Foundation and Discovery Center: A Space Museum with interactive exhibits where you can explore more about space mysteries. See space artifacts and enjoy interactive exhibits that bring space to life.
  • United States Air Force Academy:is a United States service academy educating cadets for service in the officer corps of the United States Air Force and United States Space Force.  Take a self guided tour, see the planetarium, cadet chapel, go hiking, and much more.
  • US Olympic Training Center Visitors Center: created by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee as training facilities for its Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

Attractions

  • Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center: home to wolves, coyotes and fox that each live and thrive in large wooded enclosures that provide privacy, sanctuary and stimulation for these amazing and beautiful animals.
  • Mueller State Park: encompassing 5,112 acres of land the park offers many outdoor activities. There are 55 miles of trails, biking, camping year-round, hunting, and hiking.

Attractions

  • Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument: is a sedimentary geologic formation outcropping around Florissant, Teller County, Colorado. The formation is noted for the abundant and exceptionally preserved insect and plant fossils that are found in the mudstones and shales.
